About us
Rowley Boulton first established his steel merchanting business in Market Rasen in 1986 . With his background in estate management, farming, and his experience in the steel industry, he had the full support of Kingspan (formerly Wards) and several other major steel suppliers in the UK market. Rowley started out in The Old Station goods yard, where he sold a range of steel merchanting products. His business gradually grew allowing him to secure local contracts, as well as build a strong business identity. RAF Waddington was among the first customers to request steel sheets and materials to re-roof the munitions building on the camp. Rowley still holds a key role in the business today, sharing his knowledge and experience with his two sons, Matthew and James. He remains an anchor and strong support system for his sons.
In 1990, Matthew, the eldest of Rowley’s two sons, became an integral part of the business, in 2003 his youngest brother, James, joined him. The two siblings devoted much of their time and effort to developing the company in the agricultural sector, as well as venturing into industrial and commercial construction. The business now undertakes construction projects ranging from small repairs to large developments with project values ranging from £2,000 to £2,000,000. Their success was founded on their commitment, perseverance and the solid relationships they created with their clients.The merchandising division focuses on providing the products and services that customers need, while the building division focuses on creating and maintaining the physical space and infrastructure to support the business. The two divisions collaborate to ensure that the business is meeting all the needs of the customer. Both divisions work together to create a comprehensive and successful business strategy.
